Inspiration
is a spark, an illumination, a burst of energy, of feeling, of stimulation, that drives us to find meaning, to break from routine, to push forward, to create and develop. Inspiration awakens in me the desire to express myself. It can come to me slowly and quietly, as a process, or in a flash of light, intentionally or unintentionally. Sometimes it is visible, sometimes hidden. Inspiration is what makes me chase my dreams, realize and implement them. It is a mental state in which everything is possible for me, everything is clear, right, precise.
I believe you don’t need to go far to find inspiration. It is right under our noses, in everything, everywhere, and at all times. I find inspiration in almost everything: ideas, people, buildings, nature, art, literature, music, sports, fashion, food – life.
When I encounter inspiration, I allow it to enter. It penetrates me, moves and activates me – I cannot do otherwise, I feel it in my bones. My passion burns, shakes, fills me completely, occupies my mental space until there is no room left. I feel alive, excited. I am in motion, in action, in creation. I am called to do the thing, to express myself. It comes from within, spreads, takes over, and clarifies what I need to do and how. And then I enter the studio and create something
new, different, interesting, unique, bold – something I have not done before: an interesting texture, an exciting flavor, a new cake.
I received the inspiration for this book from the great fashion designers of the world, from artists, from architects, and from the wonderful people who surround me and allow me to wake up every morning and fulfill my dreams.
